I'm not sure I could quite pull it off like Kat Von D. does, (I'm not sure I could pull off anything like Kat Von D. does) but I think I could work those tats out. The only obstacle standing in my way is that I'll never get a tattoo that is bigger than a nickel... or a quarter... or maybe a dollar bill... Isn't Kat pretty?... I digress.

So if you see someone walking around that looks like this:

(Plus a couple/a bunch of pounds and minus the bee's nest and the effects of a pesky drug problem) It might just be me... new and possibly improved... Stay tuned...

For whatever reason, right now I'm suddenly disliking him more than my usual dislike tends to go. There are several reasons for this:

1) I didn't get to go to Cruefest. and I'm still mad about it.

2) I still don't like that he is dating Kat, I think its all a media ploy and I'm tired of hearing about it. I don't doubt they like each other a whole lot, but all his sappy blog articles and pictures on his myspace are just getting ridiculous and irritating. Why is a grown man acting like a puppy dog? Again, I'm sure they have a great relationship and they love each other, but whatever. I don't need to hear about it every minute of the day. I feel as if they're playing off each other to draw attention to themselves-almost like a strange, strategic career move.

3) speaking of Myspace, there is a photo he posted on there of himself flicking off a church sign. I mean, who does that? I don't care if you're not a Christian and you don't believe in Jesus and all that, but have some respect for those who do. I'm a Christian AND a Crue fan, and I'm a little hurt that a person I look up to so much would be so thoughtless and nasty toward something really important to me. I know its kind of ridiculous for me to be upset about this, and he shouldn't be expected to live according to my expectations, but I still thought it was in bad form to give his middle finger to a church.

4) I think he treats Donna's son terribly, and thats pretty unforgivable. it always makes me angry now when I hear him say in interviews he has only four kids, when just a year or two ago he would have told you he had five kids. Since the divorce, he prettymuch abandoned that poor boy. I mean, he raised him since he was just a little fellow, he has been his father most of the child's life, and now that Donna is out of Nikki's life, he just dismisses the boy, too. You'd think that someone who has all those abandonment issues he keeps talking about would be a little more careful not to cause another kid the same problems.

5) I'm aware of quite a lot of other rumors regarding Nikki, such as those that claim he "hides money" (or has hidden money in the past) to avoid paying out his fair share. I don't know how true these rumors are, I will probably never know how true these rumors are, I DON'T CARE how true they are. I tend to brush them aside and disregard them, because that is exactly how rumors should be treated. At the same time, though, just thinking about them leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Also, knowing what I do know to be a fact regarding other such rumors, I have a hard time of always giving Nikki the benefit of the doubt. I won't say anything more on that note.

Alright, enough Nikki-bashing for now. Maybe tomorrow I'll turn the other cheek and write a post about how much I like him. Anyhow, I do feel better to get those few complaints out of my system.

Isso porque o programa só mostrou a Kat fazendo umas tatuagens na loja e um amigo, que aliás será um dos caras que vai trabalhar com ela.

Por enquanto o local onde será o estúdio ainda está em reformas e ela está fazendo os convites para as demais tatuadoras.

Com um time formado por garotas e apenas um cara, LA Ink estreou em agosto do ano passado nos States e estréia hoje no Brasil, também pela People and Arts a partir das 20hs.

DALLAS (AP) - Oliver Peck may be seeing the number 13 in his dreams.

From midnight Thursday to midnight Friday, Peck completed 415 tattoos, applying the unlucky number 13 to scores of arms, legs, ankles, backs, thighs and even some rear ends.

Peck claimed a mention in the Guinness Book of Records for drawing the most tattoos in a 24-hour period. He was awarded the honor by Guinness adjudicator Danny Girton Jr., according to a report on The Dallas Morning News Web site Saturday.

The former record holder is Katherine Von Drachenberg, also known as Kat Von D, star of the reality TV show "LA Ink" on TLC.

For several years on Friday the 13th, Elm Street Tattoo in the Deep Ellum entertainment district in Dallas has launched a 24-hour tattoo marathon.

"It's an adrenaline rush," said Peck, the 36-year-old co-owner of the shop.

Some of Peck's customers included firefighters, police officers, bartenders, a vehicle inspector, a nurse and a surgeon. By the time the marathon began, a line of customers snaked out the door and onto Elm Street.

Sarah Hooper, 24, so obsessed with the number 13 that she tries to stop the gas pump at $13.13, got her seventh number 13 tattoo, this time on her upper left thigh.

"It's something to do on the 13th," she said.

Todd Smith got his first tattoo, even though his wife and children were unaware of his plans.

"Since I'm 34, and I have three kids, it's my mid-life crisis," he said.

and only mere months after la ink star kat von d shattered it. not only was that lame and weird when she got the record, but now oliver peck has done even better by tattooing 415 people with some kind of variation of the number 13 in 24 hours. what is the fucking point of this idiocy? oh...kat von d and oliver peck are in the process of getting a divorce. too bad they've marked over 800 people with their dysfunction and desire to prove each is better than the other. see it's not about tattooing, it's about them. how professional and grown up.

1.  I have the most ridiculous, inappropriate crush on Hillary Clinton.  Maureen has prophesized that if (when?) Hillary becomes president I will get a job as her hot intern and then have a Lewinsky-style affair with her.  Much like the prophets and prophetesses that have come before her, I've pretty much dissmissed Maureen's words as bullshit...though I will admit that I have my fingers crossed!  (*Giggle*)

2.  I am a slightly bummed out that my biblical lit. class ended today because I think I have developed a crush on my *ahem* sixty year old professor.  I seriously don't know what the fuck is wrong with me.  However, I think the more I look over the take home final she handed out on Monday evening the more I may find myself getting waaaay over that crush.  Ironically, when I first looked at the mid-term exam she handed out, I wanted to laugh--it was almost the exact same document as the freakin' study guide she handed out!  Because I have a natural habit of making things way more difficult than they really need to be, I didn't use the study guide as much and instead read almost ALL of the stupid old testament AS WELL AS all of the assigned chapters in the textbook.  As you might surmise, it didn't quite work to my advantage.  Unfortunately, she really threw the book bible at us!  Did I mention I am the idiot who asked if she would consider making it a take home in the first place?  Um...Hi?  CRACKED.  OUT.  Why did I not realize that instructors usually make take-home tests more challenging?  When it was officially announced that the final would indeed be a take home, she (the professor) suggested that some one take me out for coffee or a drink for my idea.  Uh..yeah...and after I'm finished with this test, I'm going to fucking NEED it!  For now?  I want to cry.  Then again, I kind of have a thing for challenges....and professors who challenge me?  I know!  WTF?  I'll shut up.

3.  Weird "me" trivia: I also have a crush on Stephanie from Top Chef.  I am addicted to the show!  Go Stephanie!!!

4.  More weird "me" trivia:  The song Dani California by the Red Hot Chili Peppers makes me want to do dirty things to Kat von D. 

5.  And a lil more weird "me" trivia:  I have officially added "have a short writing stint for Saturday Night Live" to the list of things I want to do before I die.  I seriously need to stop finding stuff that I am interested in.

Ally and I took a shopping trip to Portland recently and found our way to the Sephora cosmetics store (which is the Disney World of make-up and beauty products). As we were walking around, we noticed that all the sales ladies had Kat Von D's signature star tattoos around their eyes.  I was a little confused until I noticed the cardboard cut-out of Kat with an advertisement for her new make-up collection Kat Von D at Sephora.  I've always thought Kat is beautiful, even covered in tattoos, which can be tricky when you wanna look glamorous.  She has a sophisticated and edgy rock and roll style that not many gals call pull off very easily. She also seems as though she is a pretty nice person which adds to her charm.

The collection is kind of Hollywood glamour meets biker chic: deep red lipstick, smokey eyeshadows palettes with rich colors, and a liquid eyeliner perfect for making the perfect Kat-cat eye.  She also offers a make-up brush tool kit. I wish I would have asked one of the sales ladies how they created the star tattoos around their eyes. I wouldn't mind rocking that look on my next night out on the town.

Kat von D appeared first in the reality TV show "Miami Ink". In 2007 she opened her own tattoo shop in L.A., High Voltage Tattoos. I once watched series "L.A. Ink" (the series that followed "Miami Ink") and saw her colleague Corey Miller do a fantastic Black and Grey Phoenix tattoo. He painted it directly on the arm of a client. Unfortunately I could not find a photo of that tattoo on their website. However, to me Kat is a special eye-candy. That's what I basically wanted to say with this post :D

Well, another week down. The best day (visitor-wise) in this young blog's life actually happened this week, largely helped by my story about Brooke Marks and Twisted Pictures' VLOG. It probably helped that i found the VLOG site before any of the major outlets so my site actually ended up towards the top of the list when a search for "Brooke Marks dead" was made. It also probably also helped that BROOKE MARKS is really quite hot.

I guess it goes to show that if you want visitors to your blog, you need to have the names of hot girls in your posts. Hot girls like BROOKE MARKS. And Mila Kunis. And Kristen Bell. Adding words like "bikini" and "nude" also probably helps. Hello to all the new visitors! Here's what went down this week.

• Kat Von D is a gawd dang vampire. And a sexy, tattooed one at that. Check out the pics to her first foray into movies.
• Another French horror movie, Martyrs, has a trailer online. And it's a good one. Oddly enough, searches for this almost matched those for BROOKE MARKS. Which is, ya know, weird.
• VH1 has another stupid reality show coming, this time to find the next horror scream queen. Sigh...
• Oh yeah. That BROOKE MARKS thing. It's an online "movie" called Vlog. It looks kinda stupid, but whatever. BROOKE MARKS is in it.
• There's a trailer out for Alexandre Aja's Mirrors. The trailer didn't do much for me, but I've still got hope for the movie.
• Some guy's remaking Children of the Corn, and I don't care.
• Paul W.S. Anderson continues to wallow in mediocrity with Death Race. Now in Exciting 2-D Motion!

And in reviews:

• I caught up with Fear Itself by watching the first episode, directed by Breck "Sahara" Eisner. It was...eh..
• Watched John Carpenter's Vampires. Sort of regretted it.

And I still haven't seen this week's episode of Fear Itself because apparently my Tivo doesn't record shows unless I program it to. Weird, huh? Luckily, there's always Hulu so expect another late review in a couple of days.

I also plan on seeing The Happening, regardless of what I'm hearing about it. I'm sort of trying to avoid the dreaded "horror movie opening weekend crowd" that we get at the local theaters here because THEY SUCK.
But early next week, I should have a review of M. Night's latest. I could've seen it this morning, but I opted to see The Incredible Hulk instead because, um, it looked... better.*

*And it was good. Go see it. I've got a feeling that it's going to make a lot of money and make Mr. Shyamalamamalan look bad. I mean, more bad that his movie makes him look. HULK SMASH BOX OFFICE!

I was very active today. No, not like that. I was making Bittys.

I did another Robyn Hitchcock for my friend. I want to show you the picture of it here because I found that an interesting thing happens when you cook the Shrinky Dink just a little too long. The Ruff and Ready Shrinky becomes transparent and looks like glass.

This would be very good for jewelry. I'll have to try a pair of earrings cooked to crystal perfection. You can't really see the effect too clearly because of the white paper frame here but it looks just like a window pane.

I was all up in the cutting and drawing and such today.

I made two star stamps for printing.

I want to use them to put tiny stars on myself cuz I love stars. If I put stars on my body everyone will think I'm a Kat Von D groupie, which I am but I wanted star tattoo before I even heard of Miami Ink and then became enslaved to watching the brilliant girls and guy on LA Ink.

I draw tattoos onto my hand and wrists with permanent markers because with my love of variety I have never been able to come up with something I'd enjoy forever. Permanent markers are not permanent on skin by the way, but they do last a day or two. 

These are the two star stamps I made today all on one piece of paper.

I can use the new stamps to make cool borders on things.

Or as, I said I can dot myself with them when I get in the mood.

I am going to try stamping fabric with my silkscreen paint someday.

These are stamps of a Mayan head I made last week. I may need to carve a little more white onto the face for contrast.

But now that I've mentioned Kat Von D, I'm going to have to think about making a BittyPix of her.

It will happen.

I think she is beautiful and I love the way she squeals with delight. Does that make me gay? 

My boyfriend, Frank and I decided along time ago that we were in-betweenies. On that scale that runs from supermasculine to superfeminine we feel we are about in the middle, kinda girl, kinda boy in just the right degree that together we really click.

Actually, every picture of Kat Von D contains two out of three of those. And two out of three ain't bad, am I right?

If you're wondering, the picture is from an upcoming movie called The Bleeding that's about, well, vampires I guess. And I'm assuming that Miss Von D is playing one of those vampires. Here's the very brief synopsis of the movie from Bloody-Disgusting:

The story centers on an ex-Army Ranger searching for the killer of his parents who discovers a family of vampires in a former chemical weapons factory-turned-nightclub.

Simple enough, I guess. The movie, which marks Von D's film debut, also boasts the all-star cast of Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen, Armand Assante and, er, DMX. And this guy.

På Lørdag så jeg Sex And The City - The Movie, eller hva den nå heter. Den går nok aldri inn i lista over favorittfilmer, men var mer enn bra nok underholdning for meg. Typ mye latter, men mesteparten av det jeg lo av hadde mer med andre folk og gjøre, og ikke minst med dustete oversettinger. For eksempel "Jeg vet jeg har krøllet det til" lol.

Jeg åpna iTunes her en dag, og oppdaga til min forundring at all musikken var forsvunnet, så da måtte jeg bruke noen timer på å overføre alt inn i iTunes igjen. Det var kjedelig. Enda kjedeligere var det at alt av Foo Fighters, Kent og The White Stripes, for å nevne noen, var ikke tagga. Så jeg måtte inn å fikse alt. Grusomt kjedelig, og jeg er langt fra ferdig. Derfor har jeg kun hørt musikk på iPoden denne uken, noe som vises på last.fm. Tror ikke jeg har hørt så lite på musikk i løpet av en uke på dritlenge. Vi snakker under 50 sanger i løpet av en hel uke. Luring.

I forrige uke begynte top model Canada på tv3. Jeg har allerede funnet meg en liten favoritt. Hun heter Tara, og siden Canada's Next Top Model er pretty tapersk, så fant jeg ingen bilder av henne, eller noen andre av de som var med. Foruten om hun som vant. Trasig at jeg måtte finne det ut da. Men det ødelegger vel ikke spenningen.

Og etter at jeg for et par uker siden plutselig endte opp med å se på Miami Ink på Discovery Channel har jeg funnet ut at Kat Von D er mye finere enn bildene av henne tilsier. Jeg elsker tatoveringene hun har i ansiktet. Stjernene altså. Jeg fant ingen bilder hvor de faktisk vistes ordentlig, men her vises de i det minste litt:

Jeg har forresten matteprøve i morgen, karakteren jeg får på den kan faktisk bestemme standpunktkarakteren. Denne prøven hadde jeg selvfølgelig glemt. Kom på den nå, men er ALT for trøtt til i det hele tatt å tenke på på pugging. Derfor må jeg stå ekstra tidlig opp i morgen. Hurra for det!

Three-day weekend yay! Payday double-yay! (12:55 PM | May 23, 2008)
It was Memorial Day weekend here in the US, which grants all of us working stiffs a three-day weekend. I needed the extra day off to catch up on a bunch of neglected errands, but those errands remain neglected, because I chose to shirk responsibility this weekend. Part of shirking responsibility is spending money you don't have, so I bought these:

Ugh. More books. I'm a nerdy nerd, fo sho.

There Will Be Blood and Disturbia

The guilty pleasure purchase this week was Disturbia, which was a total impulse buy. It's official: my inappropriate crush on Shia LaBoeuf is totally out of control. I also got There Will Be Blood on dvd to compensate for my lust-driven purchase of Disturbia. The movie is awesome, although not easy to watch. Daniel Day-Lewis was such a fucking asshat in it, and I felt awful for Paul Dano's character. I finally understood what the whole milkshake phenomenon was about, and, yes, I laughed my ass off while simultaneously feeling bad at how absolutely gutted Paul Dano was in that scene. Tsk tsk. His milkshake done got drunk good.

I saw him right after I got out of the cinema (I watched Iron Man), and it was just so strange. Whatever did happen to him after Rage Against The Machine broke up, anyway? I don't mean to be a prat, but it's hard for me to take someone's raging against the machine seriously when they are gallivanting around in the rich side of Pasadena on a motorcycle that costs $50,000. I ain't hating, I'm just saying. O_o Anyway, it's cool to know he's still around; I hope he puts out more stuff soon.

My bestie and I were eating at the Cheesecake Factory in Pasadena when Nikki Sixx and Kat Von D walked in and sat in the booth right next to us. I texted the bf immediately and he texted back, telling me that it's my duty to get my picture taken with Kat. Ugh. A part of me wanted to, but... Ang orcs naman ng dating nun. Hehe. And she and Nikki Sixx (are they dating kaya?) were eating; I didn't want to disturb them mid-meal just to take a picture. Basta. Tangina ang ganda ni Kat. It was nearly a sapphic moment. Haha.

Hmm. That's all I've got right now. It was such a fun weekend (I think the stuff I was smoking helped a lot, though. Haha!), but the next three weekends will be a bitch as I prepare for my trip to the lovely Philippines.

Final thought, a la Jerry Springer: Funny how I saw two three pala (I was counting Kat Von D and Nikki Sixx as one person) edgy and kind-of underground celebrities on the same day at Pasadena, of all places. Wala lang; it's just that that area of Pasadena isn't exactly known for its edge, you know?
